Tanque Verde Unified District: 64% of students passed their AASA/ACT Language Arts tests in 2022-23 school year

In the 2022-23 school year, 64% of Tanque Verde Unified District students passed their AASA/ACT Language Arts test, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

The 1,195 students who took the AASA/ACT were assessed at four proficiency levels in each subject. Those at proficiency level one and two failed the test, while students who reached the third and fourth proficiency level passed the test.

Of those who passed, most achieved proficiency level three.

Tanque Verde Unified District roughly covers schools within Pima County and has a main office in Tucson.

Math scores fell the most from 2019 to 2022, while language arts scores decreased to a lesser extent from 2019 to 2022, according to the Nation's Report Card.

In 2022, average scores from Arizona students were found to be inline with the national average scores for math and reading, according to the Nation's Report Card.

Some data provided by the Arizona Department of Education may be incomplete due to the Family and Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
