Karyn is a past President of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and a Signature Member in that organization. Late to drawing and painting, Karyn took her first drawing class after retirement and was introduced to an amazing new world of values (light – dark), color temperature, composition and various media. Workshops in watercolor along with intensive drawing classes. Years of experimenting, watching others, learning the properties of watercolor paints and how to create different effects resulted in the paintings on these walls today.A former trial lawyer for the State of Arizona, retirement brought the gift of creativity in these new forms. She love to paint cityscapes, landscapes and family members at memorable times and ages. Karyn has lived in Oro Valley for over 25 years and has shown and sold her artwork at many venues around town. Her painting, “The Hunter,” won the “Award of Excellence” in SAWG’s Fiesta Sonora show last year and her “PowWow Princess” was accepted into a show by the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies.Contact Karyn to discuss her artwork, watercolor in general and/or ask to be included in announcements for future shows.Email: kvampotic@gmail.com
