Artist Statement
I am an artist who is mainly painting in oils these days, though I sometimes do small pieces in soft pastel and enjoy using watercolors and acrylics. The natural world inspires me to express myself through the creation of large landscape paintings, done in the studio, or in small ones painted en plein air. I also like doing large portraits of people I know as well as setting up interesting still-lifes.
I am originally from New England, but moved to Arizona over ten years ago. The beautiful outdoors here and all the great local artists both enchant me and inspire my work.
