At its September 28, Special Session, Oro Valley Town Council directed staff to select a recruitment firm and begin a nationwide search for the next Town Manager. This decision came after Town Manager Mary Jacobs submitted her resignation on September 23. Jacobs has served as Oro Valley’s Town Manager since September 2017.
“We are grateful for the many years of leadership that Ms. Jacobs provided, and we wish her well in her future endeavors,” said Mayor Joe Winfield. “My fellow councilmembers and I have directed Town staff to work with a recruiting firm to conduct a nationwide search for our next Town Manager. We are committed to casting a wide net to ensure we find a quality candidate to carry on the great work of the Town in the years ahead.”
Deputy Town Manager Chris Cornelison will serve as Acting Town Manager until the recruitment process is completed and a new Town Manager is appointed.
