Folks, we know we keep saying it, but we need your help.
Day after day, due to large impounds as well as the average 30-40 dogs we take in every day, more dogs have been coming into PACC than going out into adoptive or foster homes.
To give you an idea of what that looks like, the collage here contains pictures of 16 of the dogs looking for homes. With 532 currently in the shelter, imagine this image multiplied more than 33 times - that's how many dogs are here.
We need adopters and fosters.
Please consider coming to PACC this weekend, even if just to look around and see these dogs. Ask a staff member or volunteer who their favorite dog is and why. We guarantee you'll be amazed at the incredible animals in our care. Each of them has their own story, their own personality, their own quirks, but each dog wants the same thing: a home.
We are open from noon to 6:15 pm today and from 10 am - 4:15 pm on the weekends. All adult pets are FREE to adopt, and puppies and kittens are $50. If you'd like to check out our website to learn more about adopting or fostering, please come down or read more at www.pima.gov/animalcare. We can't wait to see you!
