New industrial and retail buildings coming to Marana

Building

Building is growing at an exponential rate in Marana and a large project is in the works on the north side of town.

Developers in Kansas are planning to build a Southern Arizona Logistics Center near Gladden Farms.

Flint Development has two buildings planned totaling close to a million square feet. One building at 507,600 square feet and the other at 431,460 square feet located at W Clark Farms Blvd, Marana, Arizona 85653. This is all part of phase one of the project.

CBRE’s Tim Healy brokered the $22 million deal to bring more industrial development to Marana.

“We are really excited to be working with Flint Development on the lease up of the Southern Arizona Logistics Center. Phase 1, consisting of almost one million square feet , will begin construction the first week of July with a completion by the end of 2Q 2023. This will be the first logistics hub in Marana and the premier hub in the Tucson metro area with almost 1.8M square feet in total,” said Tim Healy, First Vice President with CBRE.

The project totals more than 1.7 million square feet of industrial space with the nearly one million square feet available for lease next year.

“We are excited to be working with a land owner that will bring quality developments to North Marana with multiple uses and diverse industries. This project will be a significant job creator and have a huge economic impact on the region,” said Curt Woody, Director of Economic Development for the Town of Marana.

More retail space will also be coming to Marana including a big-box store.

According to Crown West Reality, the remaining land of the Crossroads at Gladden is planned for a mix of industrial, retail and commercial uses to include a single “big-box” store offering dry goods and groceries that will be located at the corner of Tangerine and I-10.

According to Nancy Mclure, First Vice-President with CBRE, they are in contract negotiations now with a developer on a 28+ parcel near I-10 for the Crossroads at Gladden commercial development project.

There are also several other pieces of land involved that could be targeted toward restaurants, services, retailers and more.
