Mountain View High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.
Mountain View High School is once again proud to host St. Baldrick’s, a fun event that gives students, teachers and families the chance to be a hero for kids with cancer! During the pandemic, kids were still diagnosed with cancer, but donations to support research were tremendously impacted. Participation in this event is fun and it gives hope to children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
You may ask the question: Why do we shave our heads? We shave our heads (#1 buzz cut) almost bald to stand in solidarity with those that have lost their hair during cancer treatment. We honor local kids and young adults battling cancer at our event.
