Volunteers Needed for Annual Homeless Point-in-time Count

Homeless

City of Tucson issued the following annoucement on Jan. 6.

The City of Tucson, Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness (TPCH), and University of Arizona Southwest Institute for Research on Women (UA-SIROW) invite volunteers to participate in Everyone Counts! The 2022 point-in-time count will run from from 6-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

The count is an annual tally of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Pima County on a given day. Volunteers must participate in a mandatory virtual training prior to the event. Teams will canvas assigned routes around the community and conduct brief surveys. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have comfort and experience using a smartphone or tablet, and have a desire to help end homelessness. Strict COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for the count.
