Town of Marana issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
Marana Parks & Recreation received three Best of the Best awards from the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association (APRA) for the #SplashSavvy program and Spread the Love Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive.

#SPLASHSAVVY PROGRAM | OUTSTANDING PROGRAM AWARD - AQUATICS
#SplashSavvy is a campaign meant to spread community awareness and education of Drowning Response by providing everyone with the tools and resources needed to effectively respond to a drowning to protect the ones they love from further complications. The #SplashSavvy program received the Outstanding Program award for both the Educational and Aquatics categories.
This initiative included outreach through social media, videos, drowning drills, printable materials and resources to use at home, and a relay event with our community partners Northwest Fire District and MHC Healthcare.
