Tucson Botanical Garden

Featuring a newly commissioned work by Los Angeles based composer Sarah Gibson. The piece intertwine for bass clarinet and bassoon (double on melodica) is inspired by MJ Levy-Dickson’s birds nest drawings. In her artwork, Gibson was attracted to the intimacy of design in both her interpretation of the birds’ nests and the intricacies of the birds’ work. Performed at the Tucson Botanical Gardens to capture the essence of the piece and provide the listeners with an all-encompassing experience.
