PHOENIX PUBLIC LIBRARY: Learn to Code with Minecraft: Girls Edition to be held on July 14, 2021

Phoenix Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

Date: Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Location: Online Programming

Are you ready to code that the next level?  Join MACH1 and CodePHX for this ALL GIRLS 8-week program that introduces Python.  You’ll learn basic coding concepts and use those tools to create mods in Minecraft.  We’ll compare Block and Python code, as well as cover programming fundamentals such as objects and classes, variables, events, loops, and logic.

  • After registering you will receive a survey with additional questions by email.  Your registration is not complete until you complete the survey.
  • This is a beginner level class for girls between the ages 9-14; no prior coding experience is necessary. 
  • This virtual program uses Minecraft for Windows 10, participants will need a Windows 10 computer in order to run Minecraft.
