Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a new Voter Integrity Protection Act legislation to make voting in a federal election by an unlawful alien in the U.S. a felony.
The act would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act, according to a press release from Biggs' website. Not only would it be a felony for an alien that is unlawfully in the country to vote, but they could be deported.
“American citizens have a tremendous privilege to vote in free elections to decide the future of our constitutional republic. American citizens alone choose our political leaders, which is why I am introducing the Voter Integrity Protection Act. Our elections have no room for fraudulent or fallacious voting, and illegal aliens who try to cast ballots to interfere in our nation’s elections must be held accountable and punished. Our sacred privilege to vote should never be diluted by illegal aliens," Biggs said in the press release.
