City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Jan. 13
Tucson Parks and Recreation and Friends of the Cele Peterson Rose Garden at Reid Park are seeking volunteers to help prune rose bushes on Saturday, Jan. 18, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Cele Peterson Rose Garden, 920 S. Concert Place.
Volunteers should bring clippers, gloves, and rakes. Water will be provided. The Rose Society of Tucson will conduct a demonstration on how to prune roses prior to the project.
The garden will be closed through March 31 for pruning and cleaning. For more information and to sign up, email Anne Andrews at andrewsanneb@gmail.com.
