City of Tucson issued the  following announcement on Dec. 5

Zoo Lights: Holiday Magic, presented by Tucson Electric Power, opens to the public tonight, Dec. 5, at Reid Park Zoo. The event runs through Dec. 23, 6-8 p.m. each night, with encore nights Dec. 26-30.

More than one million twinkling lights illuminate animal displays and will light the beautiful Zoo grounds. Many of the evenings feature special guests. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children (2-14), with some discounts available.

Carousel rides will be available for an additional fee, and food from Taste Catering will be available for purchase. Animals will have access to heated habitats behind the scenes for this event, and will likely choose to be off habitat.
