City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Nov. 26
The City of Tucson will observe the Thanksgiving holiday this Thursday, Nov. 28. Except for emergency services, all City offices will be closed.
Residential and commercial trash and recycling will not be collected on Thursday, and customers with Thursday and Friday collections will have their service delayed by one day. The Los Reales Landfill will be closed on Thursday.
Sun Tran, Sun Link, and Sun Van will operate on a Sunday schedule. Sun Express and Sun Shuttle will not be in operation on Sunday.
Regular City services will resume on Friday, Nov. 29, but the Public Works building, 201 N. Stone Ave., will have limited staff and services. The Tucson Fire Department counter on the first floor will be closed. Pima County public parking facilities also will be closed on Friday.
