At 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13, Jackson State Tigers, the college softball team featuring former Mountain View High School standout Mackenzie Barney, clinched an 18-9 NCAA Division I victory against the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs.
The contest was held at Bulldog Softball Field and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Barney contributed two hits in two at-bats, scored two runs, drove in three runs, and drew two walks.
The Tigers will return to Bulldog Softball Field for a rematch against the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m.
